WANA designed and led on the development of an existing garage plot into a new contemporary studio dwelling in Redland, Bristol. Unassuming from the street elevation, the red brick garage was retained and internally dug out to provide a mezzanine level dwelling. Using the existing garage door as a jump-off point, the interior embraces an industrial style with exposed steelwork, Crittall style doors and windows, as well as a bespoke steel/oak staircase.

WANA designed and obtained the necessary permissions to convert this dwelling into an exemplar HMO in Filton, Bristol. Situated within the catchment area for universities and Southmead Hospital, the property had to cater for various students and professionals. Rooms were designed as such with a high standard of finish throughout, and generous room sizes which exceeded national standards.

We designed and led on the development of a semi detached property into four flats in Kingswood, Bristol. A contemporary timber-framed rear extension provided the footprint for three one-bedroom and one two-bedroom apartments; with large amenity spaces to the ground floor dwellings. Modern fixtures and fittings have been installed in each of the apartments, with exposed steel beams, composite cladding and flushglaze windows and doors creating a contemporary way of living.
